Reiki and Aura Scanning

As per the ancient Hindu scriptures every body has subtle bodies around itself namely- 7 subtle bodies, this concept is referred to as auric field of the body. It said that any physical ailment or emotional compliant first touches all or either of the 7 auric fields and eventually transpires to the physical body.
During reiki level 2 or level 3 ( depends on the teacher) aura scanning and cleansing is taught to the students to identify specific areas which require more healing or nurturing.
7 Auric Fields- Multiple  Aura Colors- How beautiful
 we are

How to do aura scanning of the healee during reiki session-

  • First and foremost ground yourself either by grounding technique or by use of tourmaline.
  • Request the healee to sit of a chair or lie on the ground, make sure the hands and legs are not crossed.
  • Place your palms together ( like in healing position) and move it over the respective chakras and eventually scan the aura by palms over the outline of the body.
  • Check what you feel on your palms and that should be the area /areas requiring more cleansing /balancing --
  • Check if you feel either of these on your palms/hands or around yourself or the healee- Coldness, perspiring, feeling cold winds, shivering, hotness, burning sessions, feeling energy is being sucked from u , sudden pain the body part or head, low in energy ( low/high bp), feeling grey/black colors around, feeling something unwanted there, something is pushing or u away or making u uncomfortable, feeling there are holes/empty.
  • Once the scanning is done you can either perform basic cleansing steps using reiki symbols only or other ways of aura cleansing.

Basic steps for Aura Cleansing -( Suggested post aura scanning)

  • Say the attitude of gratitude, call on the angels/ any god the healee believes in .
  • Use the symbol of distance healing over the entire body first, then on the specific areas identified.
  • Use the Level 3 symbol taught ( new or old ) once on the front of the body then on the back
  • Then use the physical healing symbol all over the auric field of the body and specifically 5 times on the spinal cord
  • Then use the physical heling symbol over the specific area.
  • Complete the cleansing session by saying the attitude of gratitude.

Chakra Spins and Directional Energy

Root Chakra Spin is the Slowest and dense
As we know that one chakra tends to affect the other chakra , this is true also for the direction in which the chakra is spinning. It is sometimes understood that based on the gender or activities done on daily basis as either masculine or feminine in nature. The Chakra movements in a man may be different from that of a woman. This is also one of the reason of the magnetic pull between man and woman. Sometimes it is not necessary that the male and female spins are different in a couple, can be similar in nature and can produce twice as much energy, if both the male and female have negative or opposite chakra spin it can lead to replusion, eg: lower solar plexus chakra or man and egoistic or overtly competitive woman can be source of potential due to low chakra spin in one and increased energy/spin in other.
Typically the males are masculine and that is the reason why it moves in clockwise direction, whereas females are more emotional heart chakra is in clockwise direction

Chakras are centers of overall consciousness, perceptions, emotions, thoughts and ideas. Also the way how we are emotions and thoughts are our chakra movement will change accordingly. The moment we start doing things which are different w.r.t to the core element or nature of the chakra the spin direction changes

Typically the Mooladhara /Root Chakra and Crown Chakra will be horizontal in some way and rest of the chakras from Ajna to Hara Chakra will be vertical in nature. However for different people the chakras will be spinning differently either oblique, circle, oval , conical sometimes like wave or line. Ideally root and hara chakras have the slowest speed, from manipura on-wards the spin increases and the spin is highest is the brow or 3rd eye chakra.

Considering the above points below is the chart which gives an insight into the Chakra spin and movement :-

Chakra
Male spin
Female Spin
Energy Type
Movement Type
Example for spin change or movement issues
Root Chakra
Clockwise
Counter-Clock wise
Yang/Masculine
Outward
Security issues and in-turn getting worried , depression

Hara Chakra
Counter-Clock wise
Clockwise
Yin/Feminine
Inward
Not taking care of inner self or nurturing emotions, lack of creativity leads to blockage

Manipura Chakra
Clockwise
Counter-Clock wise
Yang/Masculine
Outward
Lack of self esteem, confidence, too much thinking

Heart Chakra
Counter-Clock wise
Clockwise
Yin/Feminine
Inward
Lack of care trust, self love

Throat Chakra
Clockwise
Counter-Clock wise
Yang/Masculine
Outward
Lack of expression and unable to talk to others  & internally sucking the feeling or words

Ajna /3rd eye Chakra
Counter-Clock wise
Clockwise
Yin/Feminine
Inward
Not seeing beyond the obvious, unable to plan, lack of vision

Crown Chakra
Union-Clockwise

Unified Energy

Based on the above chart we can see that person who is ruled or focussed on elements of Hara ---Heart---3rd eye combination has more feminine qualities or has more elements of it in one's person. Hence women are more Yin  oriented. Similarly more focus on Root---Manipura---Throat chakra results in masculine qualities. Hope the chart helps in better understanding of chakra spins.

Muldhara and Chinnamasta Devi

Recently have been interested in reading up material and books on Tantra - Hinduism and Buddhism. However last few days have interested in reading on the "Mahavidyas" of the Tantra world.

Heruka= Wheel
Mahavidyas are the ten forms of the Kali Mata herself of which apart from Kali, Tara and Chinnmasta form major group of the Kali energies. The ten forms are wisdom devis, wisdom can be from gentle, sattvic work/attitude to Tamasic or harsh or dark forces. So at the end of it all merges and becomes one.

Of all the 10 forms,Chinnamasta is quite interesting form, she is "SELF Decapitating" devi who depicts self-sacrifice ... I have somehow associated her with Avalikoteshara ( form of buddha- who self sacrifices inorder to uplifts ) but has fiery energy of Purshuram and Narasimha ( form of Vishnu). However in Buddhist she is related Vajrayogini Devi.

Her Self sacrifice is also related to awakening of the Kundalini Shakti which resides in the Muldhara /Root Chakra , the uncoiled serpent energy of the Shakti. The energy of Chinnmasta has the sexual energy, life, self destruction , danger elements of which are more like Muldhara up to the Svadisthana chakra, So her energies are mainly associated with the lower two chakras. The red color of the devi is the muldhara color. She is alone workshipped only by the Tantrik/Tantrikas under strict guru instructions.

Since Chinnamasta is the icon for Kundalini- the divine spiritual energy. The copulating couple is representing the Kundalini. The coiled energy at the base of the spine  also gets uncoiled during sexual intercourse. The energy flow goes from the base of the spine up till the head. The cut head and blood of the devi depicts the upward kundalini flow which is so strong and energetic that it breaks the vissudhi chakra- i.e: false expression, false words in that process makes the person weak, sad... which thereby leads to energy going all the way up the crown chakra and shattering and transforming the self--- i.e: one is in Transcendence   ( i.e: from the sushmana nadi up to sahasrara).

Another aspect to look at it when the kundalini energy flows all the way when one's pineal gland explodes and one has literally an orgasmic experience the false ego, false expression are no longer in existence, it is transformational-literally arising from owns death.
The three blood streams are nectar again which feed our own consciousness of good and bad residing within ourselves, the shakti then unites with shiva at sahasrara.( The two attendants of the Devi are tamsic and sattvic qualities)
Another interpretation is that Dakini, Varini ( female deities of muldhara), Chinnamasta are ida, pingala & sushmana nadi. Ida ( lunar energy) & Pingala ( solar energy) flows & meets at each chakra point ( like the DNA structure ).

Deeper Meaning
Osho zen tarot- Transformation
  • The self- decapitating is end of false ego, ignorance, expression, desires which are binding and conditioning one.
  •  The ability to live by let go and manifestation of the kundalini energies and gain of supernatural powers. Only by Letting go can we be in the present
  • Death is inevitable- One must die by getting immersed in the action one does
  • Death and Sex are interdependent- sex is for creating new life , that life which will eventually decay and die inorder to feed more life and existence it self.
  • Control of sexual energy which can be channeled by a yogi/yogini for greated spiritual pursuits.
  • Fearlessness of death, not to fear of lust, ego, hurt as they are mere layers of the true nature of the soul.
  • Integrity, accepting oneself in whichever form or state
  • Self- Awakening and Self- enlightenment.
